WHAT
Theyāre exactly what they sound like: icebreakers or āserious gamesā somehow incorporating and showing AI.
WHY
We often use these during workshops & interactive sessions to instigate playful critically, demonstrate algorithmic bias, and let people experience rather than to merely explain certain computational concepts.
HOW
This is a living collection - curated by the community from the web, and some developed in-house at AIxD in collaboration with Yasmin Morgan.

Feel free to take and use them in your own workshops and sessions. If you know more that arenāt here yet, please add them for the next person (in a comment or ask Nadia for editing rights š)!
>> To re-purpose as icebreakers/interactive exercises to educate/play around AI

</aside>
A simulation game showing bias of hiring algorithms.
A live event where people compete against each other using text-to-image software.
Quick, draw - Doodle something in 10 seconds and see if the AI gets it.
Wombo DREAM - The most straight-forward text-to-image generator on the web.
AI OR HUMAN - Online Turing test type thing
AI or Human: Can you tell the difference?
BLOB OPERA - A DIY Opera. 16 hours of singing was used to train this model. What you hear is not the voices of these singers, but the machine learning model's understanding of what opera singing sounds like. This is based on what it learned from the singers.
Blob Opera - Google Arts & Culture
VIOLA THE BIRD - Play a cello-inspired instrument with Viola the Bird and the help of machine learning! This neural network understands cello and violin compositions.
Viola the Bird - Google Arts & Culture
Algorithm Watch - Can you break the algorithm?
Find the emoji in real-life with your phoneās camera. Makes you move through the room so good icebreaker.
Draw a cute character and animate it using AI (works especially well on kid-like drawings).
The Most Likely Machine -Ā an interactive learning prototype by Artefact designed to help people developĀ algorithmic literacy through play.
Scroobly - Using body tracking, animate a virtual character with your own body
Scroobly - Scrooble a doodle. Bring it to life.
GPT PROMPT ATTACK - game around trying to get LLM to reveal its prompts
IMPROMPTU - Impromptu is a guessing online game that harnesses the power of AI to generate (funny) images that'll have you second-guessing everything.
Impromptu ā AI Art Party Game
Learn American Sign Language using a machine learning model.
Fingerspelling with Machine Learning
TEXT-TO-POKEMON - Put in a text prompt and generate your own PokƩmon character, no "prompt engineering" required!
lambdal/text-to-pokemon āĀ Replicate
Draw the algorithm
Guess the prompt
AI therapy - AI luddites anonymous / sit in a circle and say āhi Iām Nadia, Iām sick of AI because ā¦.ā
