With the workshop facilitation kit, you or anyone can host their own Feminist UX of AI workshop session. We hope that by making the materials open-sourcing available, it can serve as a format for others to instigate critical reflections on AI interfaces and to imagine otherwise.

We often take for granted the ways in which we, as users, are invited or limited in interacting with AI systems that shape our everyday realities through its UX/UI.
In this workshop, we take a pro-active, critical, and playful approach to re-imagining algorithmic interactions. You will critically interrogate familiar AI interfaces (such as those of Netflix, ChatGPT, and other common apps,) and its affordances, and re-imagine what else they could look like when centering feminist values over platform profitability.
Departing from your observations and POV, you will create a design provocation with a what-if statement and speculative wireframe that illustrates other possibilities.
A blend of research, critical reflection, discussion, and speculative design, the workshop encourages participants to actively engage with themes of AI design.
