To kick-off the Slow AI research stream, we hosted our first community session to begin seeding and sensing alternative AI narratives.

Overwhelmed by the # of sign-ups (a good sign), we had to rework our original plan (which anticipated like 15-20 people hehe) to accomodate more people while still supporting the same level of deep participation. We put out an open call in the community and ended up with a beautiful line-up of people to facilitate and hold the space alongside us.

🄦 Gathering + Co-creating


In this first community session of the project:

We loved how rich the discussion was, how beautifully chaotic the Miro board, and the plenty provocations and questions we surfaced together 🪁 A pretty packed program for 1,5 hr, we easily - in the words of Alja - could have done this all day.

Putting our feelers out across an initial six potential themes, our objective for this session was to collectively sense which directions felt most potent. After much deliberation while roaming around the board, and taking account the votes we casted at the end of the session, we’ve made our (difficult!) selection on what to move forward with.
