The first version of the library launched with 23 provotypes. Beyond that, we’re inviting you to develop and submit your ideas so we can keep evolving this as an open-source community resource.

How to Create + Submit your Provotype

  1. Think of a concept 💭 Perhaps you already have an idea. Otherwise you can read the other ones for inspiration, or host a workshop session using the facilitation kit, or follow along the process on your own.

  2. Create a wireframe 🖍️ Using the **Figma wireframing kit with pre-made UI components we’ve prepared for you (to stay consistent with the style of the other provotypes) or any other tools that work for you

Iterate until the wireframe communicates your concept

  3. Write supporting text 🔖

    1. A what-if statement

    2. A short description (50-100 words)

Explain in a short description what we see as well as the underlying thinking, ideas, or research. What is the provotype proposing, asking, or provoking? Elaborate on the thinking / context / observation / assumption / shift of the larger idea as well as the specific example / use case we see illustrated in the speculative wireframe.

      • Struggling to write? Here’s some reflective questions that can help
  4. Submit it to be included in the library by adding it in the Miro board here - into the Community Submissions section📮

<aside> 👉🏽 By adding your provotype in the Miro, you give consent for it to potentially published into the open-source Feminist UX of AI library in its original or adapted form and with accreditation.
